THE OPENING of Abu Dhabi’s long-awaited Dh19.1bn ($5.2bn) mid-field terminal has moved a step closer. Abu Dhabi Airports Co (Adac) said it has undertaken an intermediate full operational trial of the mid-field terminal complex (MTC), as part of the continuing development of the new structure as well as the ongoing operational readiness and airport transfer processes. The checks, which were designed to thoroughly test the new building’s capacity and facilities involved more than 800 volunteers and two aircraft from the Etihad Aviation Group.
