The Mighty Eighth - Return of a Classic

When I first heard that MicroProse was revisiting an all-time favourite title of mine: ‘B-17 Flying Fortress: The Mighty 8th’ (released back in 2000), I was very excited about the possibilities of what could be done to update this classic simulation. Of all the titles in the company’s back catalogue, this was probably the most unique, and in terms of the concept, it has never been bettered… until now. The new version will be aptly called, ‘The Mighty Eighth’. So, eager to find out more about this exciting project, I invited MicroProse’s CEO, David Lagettie, to talk to us about this highly anticipated B-17 simulation and about his plans for the title.

PC Pilot: Hi David, thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to talk to us. Before we start to discuss The Mighty Eighth, I would like to begin by asking a more general question: What would you say were and will be the distinguishing features of a MicroProse product?
