More Typhoons in testing ahead of delivery to Kuwait

Two more Eurofighter Typhoons that are destined to join the ranks of the Kuwait Air Force (KAF) were seen carrying out pre-delivery flight testing from Leonardo’s production and test facility at Turin-Caselle Airport in northern Italy on December 27, 2022.

The two single-seat aircraft – which currently wear the Italian temporary test registrations MT7500 and MT7501 – are expected to be serialled as KS002 and KS003, respectively, once they have been delivered to the KAF in the near future. Kuwait has ordered 28 examples of the multi-role fighter – comprising 22 single-seat and six two-seat aircraft – in total. At present, six Eurofighters have been delivered to the KAF and are operating in-country, with flight testing and deliveries set to continue at a steady pace through 2023.
