ATR Extends Maintenance Intervals

Franco/Italian turboprop manufacturer

ATR has received EASA certification to extend the intervals between type A checks from 500 to 750 hours on all series of its aircraft. The 50% increase will offer ATR operators a significant reduction in maintenance costs as well as increased aircraft availability of an additional day for every 1,500 flight hours.

Tom Anderson, ATR’s SVP programmes and customer services, commented: “This certification reflects the robust maintenance policies and procedures that we have worked to put into place. ATR consistently strives to innovate and develop its products as well as offering enhanced support to our operators. The next step is now to target an escalation of the C Checks to provide even more value.”
