Microsoft Flight Simulator World Update XVI: Caribbean

Islands in the Sun

So here we are in 2024 and despite the naysayers, we have another monumental update from Asobo. This time, it depicts the beautiful islands of the Caribbean. As usual with World Updates, they consist of many different elements, so I will try to provide a flavour of what you can expect to find. As it happens, I was lucky enough to spend two weeks in January 2023, enjoying the Caribbean on board a cruise ship. So hopefully I can revisit some of these islands but this time from the comfort of my own home, while at the same time perhaps seeing how accurately they are depicted in the simulator.

Update XVI

This is Update XVI, or for those who prefer, it’s number 16. That figure is surprising in itself because it means we are still receiving quite extensive free updates for the simulator, nearly four years since its release. And in case you’re wondering, I don’t get paid by Microsoft to say that.
