New Chinese Training Centre

Global aviation services company, Avia Solutions Group has signed a joint venture agreement with the Henan Civil Aviation Development and Investment Company (HNCA) to form a new Chinese flight training centre. With a planned investment of more than $60m, BAA Training China is set to be equipped with state-of-the-art training devices and six full flight simulators (FFS) including for Airbus A320 examples and Boeing 737 family aircraft.

Based in Zhengzhou in the Henan province of China – the site will operate under a franchise licence providing a full range of pilot, cabin crew and ground handling aviation training to cater for the growing Chinese market. The country’s civil aviation authority says passenger flying time has soared to 10.5m hours, up from just over six million hours annually over the past five years.
