UK airshows

The big news on the UK scene is that Scampton, the famous RAF station in Lincolnshire, will be staging a new event under the auspices of RAF Charitable Trust Enterprises, organisers of the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) on September 9 and 10. Scampton is described separately; as for RIAT itself, the main historic theme for 2017 is the 70th anniversary of the USAF, and to that end July’s spectacular at RAF Fairford will see the sole British appearance of the year by the USAF’s Air Demonstration Squadron, the Thunderbirds, with its F-16C Fighting Falcons.
