Northrop Grumman buys Orbital ATK

Northrop Grumman has completed the acquisition of aerospace and defence technologies company Orbital ATK for $9.2 billion. Orbital ATK will now operate under the name Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems. Operating both as a prime contractor and merchant supplier, Orbital ATK designs, develops and provides space, defence and aviation-related systems to customers across the globe. The company’s product portfolio includes launch vehicles and related propulsion systems, missiles, subsystems and defence electronics, precision weapons, ammunition, satellites, and advanced aerospace structures.
