2 SECOND 787-10 JOINS TESTING

A second Boeing 787-10, N548ZC (c/n 40929), pictured above at Boeing Field in Seattle, has recently joined the test programme for the latest 787 variant. It will be used for systems testing. A third 787-10 is in final assembly at North Charleston in South Carolina, and will test cabin environmental control systems. Mark Broadbent

10 A380S WITH ETIHAD AIRWAYS

Deliveries of Airbus A380s to Etihad Airways are complete after the Abu Dhabi-based carrier received the last of the ten it has ordered. Etihad has announced Paris Charles de Gaulle will join London, New York JFK and Sydney as year-round destinations for its super jumbos, with the 496- seat aircraft offering an increase in capacity on the 328-seat Boeing 777-300ERs that Etihad previously used on the Paris route. 52 A300S TO GET FLIGHTDECK UPGRADE

All 52 UPS Airbus A300F4-600Rs are to receive a major flightdeck upgrade. The modifications involve the installation of the Honeywell Primus Epic flight management system, weather radar, an integrated standby instrument system, an aircraft communication and addressing reporting system, LCD screens to replace the existing CRT displays and a central maintenance system. Modification work on the first aircraft will start in 2019 ahead of certification in 2020. UPS said the upgrade will extend the A300s’ service life until 2035 or later. Mark Broadbent

3,000 LEARJETS DELIVERED

Bombardier Business Aircraft recently delivered the 3,000th Learjet. The landmark aircraft, also the 100th Learjet 75 handed over, was delivered to Missouri-based Leggett & Platt. Mark Broadbent
