Orbx's EU Great Britain South review

Exploring Southern Britain

Living in Austria, one of the world's most beautiful places, I often find myself a tad homesick for the UK. While I have no desire to leave my home here, it is nice to visit my home country once in a while via a flight sim flight or two. For the most part, Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) offers me a fair approximation of the UK, from the sweeping mountains of the Highlands or the Lake District to those tricky crosswind approaches into Manchester or Leeds, or just enjoying a nostalgic trip above the promenade of Blackpool.

The closer to my old home in Wales I get though, the more 'generic' things seem to be. Blackshark.AI can produce strange buildings in places where I know nothing exists. Landmarks I grew up with can be missing or poorly recreated. If only someone had the experience to really showcase the world I remember in the sim. Oh wait, Orbx exists and it has been doing this kind of thing for years.
