Orbx brings southern Spain to X-Plane
Spain is one of those countries that I know but at the same time, of which, I know so little. Many of my family holidays were spent around the southern coast, wandering the Costas in search of fun and excitement. They were warm, sandy, dry and utterly boring to me as a child. I recall watching pirated copies of big-name movies in outdoor bars in Benidorm. Most of all, I remember the nice ice cream.

I haven't visited Southern Spain since the early 1990s and I would like to, because if you get away from the British-speaking bars and the annoying tourist traps of the Costas, Spain is beautiful. Southern Spain is home to some truly beautiful cities, astounding landscapes and true Spanish food that knocks the big burger at Bobby's bar out of the park. The food is difficult to experience in any sim but the cities and scenery are certainly on the menu. Orbx has produced another TrueEarth area for X-Plane 11, covering Southern Spain, maybe it's time to revisit the country and see the real Spain.
