Flight Adventure - The DH.82A Tiger Moth
This issue, we are flying the DH.82 Tiger Moth Pro from Ant’s Airplanes using P3Dv4.4 with Orbx Simulations’ Australian AU and Pacific North West PNW scenery products. As usual, you can obtain details of these and alternatives for other flight simulation platforms in the downloadable Pilot’s Notes via the link below.
Today we might call it ‘IFR’ with tongue-in-cheek – ‘I Follow Roads, Rivers and Railways’! So while some basic charts have been included in the downloadable Pilots Notes, you will be following natural and man-made features as you satisfy your instructor that you can safely navigate by using a variety of these features.

Freeware Files
Once again, we have a collection of high-quality freeware files for you to enjoy. These aircraft, scenery and utilities easily compare with many commercial products but don’t forget, if you’ve enjoyed a particular file, please let the author know, it’s their only payback. By the same token, we’re always interested to hear from you if you’ve downloaded or designed a file that you think is worth sharing.

You are free to enjoy them for your own use but they must not in any circumstances be distributed, copied, uploaded to any other websites or disassembled in any way whatsoever.
Library files
Most X-Plane users will know that many freeware airport designers make use of Library files to enhance their creations. Consequently, it’s important to read the documentation within each airport to find out which libraries have been used. These libraries need to be installed in order to experience these airports as the authors intended.
Star Performers from the Internet
Bolzano Airport
In this issue, we feature another stunning regional airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator, located near the town of Bolzano in the province of South Tyrol, northern Italy. Bolzano is the capital city of the province with a population of 108,245. It’s also by far the largest city in the area and the third-largest in Tyrol. The greater metro area has about 250,000 inhabitants and is one of the urban centres located within the Alps.

The airport was created in October 1926 with a 1,300m runway but in June 2016, a public opinion poll decided to no longer support the highly deficient airport with money from the government. It was therefore decided that the airport’s operating company would be liquidated and the licence given back to the Italian authorities, which effectively meant that the airport would be shut down entirely if no other operator were found. Happily, a start-up company named SkyAlps is planning to start operations from Bolzano to several Italian destinations flying the de Havilland Dash 8-Q400.
Alexey Unishkov is the designer of this commercial-quality product, which includes lots of highly detailed and unique elements.
