The new Airbus A321neo, TC-RDP (c/n 11515) is named Cumhuriyet (meaning Republic) in honour of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye. The tail of the aircraft also has the silhouette and signature of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who was the first president of the country.
Mehmet T Nane, Chairperson of the Board at Pegasus Airlines, and Güliz Öztürk, CEO, took delivery of the aircraft in person at the Airbus facilities in Hamburg, Germany. On September 30, the aircraft departed on its delivery flight to Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen International Airport.

The A321neo is the ninth of 16 new aircraft due to join the Pegasus fleet in 2023. It is also the 75th aircraft to be delivered as part of the Airbus order signed in 2012, which, through additional agreements over the years has increased to a total of 150 aircraft.
Since 2021, all aircraft deliveries to Pegasus have been A321neos. Pegasus’ fleet of 100 aircraft consists of 15 Boeing 737-800s, six Airbus A320ceos, 46 Airbus A320neos,and 33 Airbus A321neos.l
