PEGASUS UPDATE

A RECENT REVIEW by the Government Accountability Office has determined that the USAF’s $44-billion KC-46A tanker program has met performance and cost targets due to few changes in engineering requirements. The report indicated that the program’s total procurement cost estimate dropped from 14 per cent from $51.7 billion in 2011 to $44.3 billion. However, it also showed a 14-month delay in the delivery of the first 18 KC-46s.
