Fine food and wine connoisseurs are among many drawn to picturesque Dordogne, but Luigi Vallero made a flying visit to Périgueux to look around the airport, as well as sample the gastronomic delights.

Dordogne is a beautiful department in the Aquitaine region of southwest France. It is famous for wine and fine food, in particular truffles and fôie gras. The countryside consists of forested hills, and rivers meandering through cultivated plains, while the landscape is dotted with vineyards and historical towns and villages.
