Petersburg Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator released

Petersburg is located between Juneau and Ketchikan and is only accessible by sea or air. It is primarily a commercial fishing town but also attracts tourists for outdoor activities.

The package is an authentic rendition of the real airport.

Alaska Airlines operates a daily Boeing 737-700 jet service from the airport as a part of the Milk Run, a daily circuit of Alaska Airlines flights that hop between towns in Southeast Alaska, serving as a lifeline for the communities that are not connected by road to the outside world.

Developed by Northern Sky Studio, the scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator is a detailed replica of Petersburg Airport (PAPG), sporting buildings with high-resolution textures, including a terminal interior with 3D passengers, taxiway signs, ground markings and service vehicles.

The surrounding area, including the harbour, is modelled.

The surrounding area is also recreated, including the nearby town and harbour with custom orthophotos.

The package makes full use of PBR (Physically Based Rendering) effects along with native and highly efficient gITF models. It is available on OrbxDirect for AUD$18.00 (approx £9.38).
