Phantom Survivors: Gods of War

The Hellenic Air Force is one of two European air arms that still operate the F-4. Now confined to a single squadron, it still provides a meaningful multi-role capability for the Greek military.

There’s nothing quite like a Phantom II. Strong, muscular lines, its sound, its charisma… Where today’s hi-tech world may command the edge in warfare, the F-4 has brute force and a status that demands its name to be written in the book of legends. If the Hellenic Air Force’s (HAF’s) official stated intent to retain its F-4Es until 2027 can be taken as gospel, then Greece could end up as the world’s final ‘Rhino’ operator.
