Aircraft developer AeroSphere has released the Piper Cherokee 235 and Piper Charger for X-Plane 11.
The Cherokee 235 was introduced in 1963 to compete with the Cessna 182 for the four-seat aircraft market share that the original Cherokee could not fulfil. It featured a longer wing and a 6-cylinder O-540 engine with an optional constant speed propeller. Piper also included tip tanks, increasing the fuel capacity from 50 gallons to 84. The Piper Charger was introduced in 1972, sporting a longer fuselage and a higher payload capability.
The aircraft from AeroSphere sports four 4K liveries with a white template for creating custom paint schemes. Other highlights include HDR lighting effects, custom FMOD sounds and a cockpit equipped with analogue 3D gauges with IFR-capable instruments and Garmin 530 and 430 GPS units. It also sports a detailed flight model and an interactive 3D virtual cockpit.
Animations include a working cabin door, storm window and front/rear baggage compartment doors. The package is Virtual Reality friendly and includes the click regions and hotspots required for VR gameplay.
