PMDG has finally released its highly anticipated Boeing 737-800 for Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS).
The addon is the third variant of the popular narrowbody, after the -600 and -700, to be published for the platform.
The package – currently priced at $69.99 (£59.10) – features all new models, textures, and sound environment, along with tens of thousands of changes, improvements and fixes compared to the company’s previous 737 addons for Prepar3D and FSX.
Available only for MSFS on PC, the product is currently exclusively offered for purchase from PMDG’s website and is not on the Marketplace within the simulator.
Further updates to the product, including the PMDG-EFB cockpit tablet, will be added during “summer’22” in a free update. High-resolution cabin models and landing gear bay interiors for all 737 variants remain in development and will be added during maintenance updates.
New features recently added to the simulator platform such as weather radar functionality, will be added in future free updates.
The 737-900 will be the next variant planned for release, before attention will be shifted towards completing the PMDG 777 and 747 for the platform.

Now you too, can experience the difference between flying the longer, heavier sibling of the 737-600 and 737-700 airplanes!
