The reboot of a classic
When PMDG released the 737NGX back in 2011, it took the flight simulation community by storm, quickly becoming the go-to airliner for many simulator pilots. Now after nine years of ploughing the virtual airways, PMDG has released an updated version of the legendary aircraft simulation exclusively for Prepar3D version 4. Welcome to the PMDG 737NGXu.

The PMDG 737NGXu
The 737NGXu is a ground-up rebuild of the original NGX, taking advantage of current coding advances and sporting features such as Physically Based Rendering (PBR) textures, dynamic lighting and improved systems. New equipment that has been introduced on the real Boeing 737 since NGX was released nine years ago has been added to the NGXu. For example, LED landing lights, modernised navigation equipment and three winglet options: a standard wing, blended winglets and a new split scimitar wing with each wingtip device directly affecting fuel burn. Like the original 737NGX, the NGXu base pack features the 737-800 and -900 but also the 737-900ER (Extended Range) variant.
