Pucará over the Pampas

Exercise Report: Dédalo 2019

The Argentine Air Force’s major exercise of 2019 saw all the lessons learned so far this year put to the test. And, as Santiago Rivas reports, it was a final opportunity to see the Pucará perform in its original attack role.

The V Brigada Aérea (5th Air Brigade) of the Fuerza Aérea Argentina (FAA, Argentine Air Force), based at Villa Reynolds, San Luis province, was the centre of activity for the service’s Dédalo (Daedalus) exercise. All major FAA units took part and operations were also staged out of the IV Brigada Aérea in Mendoza and the Escuela de Aviación Militar (Military Aviation School) in Córdoba.
