The Royal Air Force (RAF) officially marked the reformation of No 30 Squadron as an Airbus A400M Atlas C1 heavy-lift tactical transport unit during a ceremony that was attended by Princess Anne at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire on September 28.

The Princess Royal was joined at Brize Norton by other high-ranking RAF officials and invited guests, who were present as the air force welcomed back 30 Squadron as the latest unit to adopt the Atlas C1 operationally. During the ceremony, Princess Anne watched and inspected RAF personnel as they paraded outside the No 70 Squadron hangar to mark the occasion.
