Reno Racing

For aviation thrills and excitement, the Reno Air Races are hard to beat. Frank B Mormillo reports from this annual event which is in its 56th year.

The Reno National Championship Air Races (now the STIHL National Championship Air Races) take place every September, though in recent years the number of competitors has been declining. This is primarily because of economic considerations, though there are still plenty of pilots wanting to compete.
