FORCE AÉRIENNE RWANDAISE (Rwandan Air Force) Mi-17V-5 RAF-0609 lands to assist casualty evacuation training with US Army medics in Kigali, Rwanda, on August 24. The Hip was taking part in Exercise Shared Accord 2019, which brought together US and Rwandan forces, plus African partner militaries, allies and international organisations. The manoeuvres focused on training for peacekeeping operations in the Central African Republic and included drills to increase readiness, interoperability and partnership building.

The Force Aérienne Rwandaise operates five Mi-17V-5s, received from 2007. The service also flies around ten Mi-17-1Vs from a total of 15 delivered from May 2009. One was badly damaged in a takeoff accident on March 15. All Hips are home based at Kigali International Airport.
