The Philippines has bought six InSitu ScanEagle unmanned air systems under a $10 million Foreign Military Sales contract, the US Department of Defense announced on September 18. Each system includes multiple – usually 12 – unmanned air vehicles, plus launch and recovery systems and support equipment. Deliveries will be completed by 2019. The Philippines already uses an undisclosed number of Scan Eagles.
