Short haul, long aircraft: Iberia A340-600 to London

As the number of Airbus A340-600s in service dwindles, so the opportunities to fly on this impressively long aircraft are reducing. Spencer Bennett sampled a short-haul Iberia flight that is regularly flown by this big Airbus variant.

When I found myself needing to book a trip from Madrid to London recently, a little research led me to discover that Iberia operated the mighty A340-600 on some of the daily IB3166/7 flights to and from Heathrow Airport. It presented a chance that was too good to miss.
