Scenery developer, sim-wings has announced Anchorage for Microsoft Flight Simulator is out now.

Anchorage Ted Stevens International (PANC) is the largest airport in Alaska and a hub for Alaska Airlines. It is also a cargo gateway between the US and Asia due to its location. The world’s largest seaplane base on Lake Hood is connected to PANC via a taxiway crossing several streets. Next to Lake Hood, an unpaved strip ‘Z41 is used by aircraft equipped with tundra tyres.

The package from sim-wings is an authentic rendition of Anchorage Airport, sporting detailed buildings with high-resolution textures and interior modelling for the national and international terminal.

Other highlights include up-to-date runways and taxiways with accurate signage, apron parking areas and correctly numbered jetways at each terminal pier. The airport features dynamic night lighting, ground clutter and service equipment at the aircraft stands and parking areas.

Custom aerial imagery covers the airport boundary with accurate terrain and runway elevation profiles. Lake Hood and the float plane base are also part of the scenery.
