Slovakia signed a contract for two Alenia C-27J Spartans on October 29, 2014, and the first of them was seen test flying at Leonardo’s facility at Turin, Italy, in August 2017. Painted in full Slovak Air Force markings, including serial 1931, it also carried experimental serial C.S.X. 62302. When delivered, the two transports are expected to serve with 1. Dopravná letka at Malacky-Kuchyña Air Base near the capital Bratislava.
