SNEAK PEEK: Watch BBMF Lancaster practice for 2023 display season

Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Lancaster PA474 took to the skies today to practise its display routine for this year’s airshow season.

The famous bomber performed its routine for 2023 four times over its home base of RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire. The aircraft was observed conducting several passes (which can be seen in the video below) in various configurations with its landing gear up and down.

Meanwhile, the aircraft was also seen taking part in a practice flypast for the King’s Coronation. The rehearsal – which involved 36 aircraft and more than ten different types – took place overhead RAF Cranwell this afternoon.
