Located on the South coast between the cities of Southampton and Portsmouth, Solent Airport is a busy civilian airfield, home to Phoenix Aviation flying school, the HM Coastguard Search and Rescue and Spitfires.com.
EGHF Solent Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator has been faithfully recreated by Burning Blue Design, based on a 2022 layout with accurate runways/helipads, taxiways and custom signage.
The airport buildings have been accurately modelled, such as a highly detailed control tower, café and hangar interiors. More than 200 custom 3D objects with Physically Based Rendering (PBR) textures and authentic night lighting.
Animations include operational hangar doors, which close at night, custom windsocks and dynamic flags. It also comes with animated spectators and real-life static aircraft found at the airport.
Other highlights include enhanced high-resolution colour-corrected ground textures optimised to blend in with the surrounding area.
Local buildings and POIs include the Daedalus sculpture, beach-front huts, Faraday and Daedalus business parks and the Daedalus Converter Station.
