Even when parked, the Rolls-Royce Spirit of Innovation looks fast. A modified all-electric-powered Sharp Nemesis NXT, registration G-NXTE, it has the records to prove its speed credentials. In January 2022, the Féderation Aéronautique Internationale (FAI; World Air Sports Federation) formally verified three speed records achieved while operating from MOD Boscombe Down in Wiltshire during November 2021.
