In the Spotlight: United ambition

In recent years United Airlines has reinvented itself by investing in its fleet, people, and background infrastructure. Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak,Airliner World’s Gordon Smith visited the carrier’s UK headquarters to chat with Bob Schumacher, the company’s managing director for UK & Ireland.

Bob Schumacher held various senior roles at Continental Airlines before its merger with United.

BS: Mergers are big, complicated affairs and these things are never simple whether they are done across borders or not. It is a complex coming together and it takes time.
