Contractor air services provider Discovery Air Defence Services and its US operation Top Aces has established an important footprint in North America and Europe, as it looks to new markets.

THE MARKET IS really heating up,’ enthuses Discovery Air’s marketing executive Garrick Ngai. ‘Both the US Navy and the US Air Force are looking for contracted Red Air and this is very evident in recent trade press and at trade shows.’ With such tempting contracts on the table, it’s no wonder there’s a queue at the door. ‘With that, Top Aces and the competition are busy preparing for these US opportunities, but we’re still the only service provider with a true fourth-generation supersonic aircraft ready for the US,’ Ngai states. ‘All the US has to do is say ‘yes’ and we’re there.’ The various contenders are not shy of trying to poke holes in others’ claims. Ngai comments: ‘What we have for F-16s is very, very real.’
