Sylt Where Airbus And Glider Co-Exists

Sylt is a tiny North Sea island. So why does it have an airport with two terminals? Sebastian Schmitz reveals all.

German people love their holidays and when they go for a ‘staycation’ many head to the seaside at Sylt. On a map, it may not look far from the big north German cities. However, looks are deceptive. Bremen, for example, is more than 240 miles (390km) away and Hamburg is a journey by road of approaching five hours.
