Top Gun: Maverick – What it’s like flying in the F/A-18 Super Hornet

The ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ director and producer give some insights into the film and members of the cast describe what it’s like to fly in an F/A-18F Super Hornet

Danny Ramirez – Lt Mickey “Fanboy” Garcia

“’Top Gun: Maverick’ is going to be the first film to shoot inside the cockpit of an F-18, shoot outside of it, shoot with another one following it. It’s pushing [the] cinematic boundary, it’s cinematic history because it’s never been done, but it’s not just taking it a little bit of a step it’s taking this massive leap into this area that no-one’s ever dreamed of touching. It’s planet Earth at 700mp/h with a 6K camera, an Oscar winning cinematographer and a fantastic director and mastermind producer and a fantastic actor. It’s like one of those things, it’s a perfect storm and it almost seems like it’s too good to be true.”
