Trip Report: TAP Air Portugal A330neo

TAP Air Portugal has distinguished itself from the competition as the launch Customer of the Airbus A330-900. Following the first revenue flight in December 2018, the type is now a key component of the carrier’s fleet. Matteo Legnani experienced the aircraft and TAP new business class product on board the airline’s flagship routes: Lisbon/Humberto Delgado to São Paulo/Guarulhos.

The 298-seat airliner is fitted with the AirSpace by Airbus cabin.

For its premium passengers, the Portuguese flag carrier has a dedicated area within the departure hall of Terminal 1 at Lisbon/Humberto Delgado, with a customer service office and four check-in counters. As my flight, TP087, was scheduled for an 11.20pm departure, I arrived at the airport at around 9pm. With the busy evening rush hour behind us, the airport started to calm down and the terminal was quiet.
