In a momentous announcement at the Farnborough International Airshow on July 17, 2006, Viking Air Ltd unveiled its intention to offer a new version of the de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter two-engine 19-passenger turboprop. Although many designs have experienced production breaks for all sorts of reasons, the last Twin Otter had been built in 1988.
