UK airline boss offers stark warning ahead of half-term travel surge

Today marks an end of inbound testing to the UK for most vaccinated travellers, with many airlines reporting a sharp rise in leisure bookings. Timed to coincide with the start of the school half-term holidays, it means the vast majority of families will only need to complete a passenger locator form ahead of their return to Britain.

While this is great news for those desperate to get away after a challenging two years, the managing director of Wizz Air UK has told Key Aero she fears not all carriers will be able to cope. In an exclusive video interview, Marion Geoffroy provides a stark assessment of some parts of the commercial aviation industry and raised concerns about rival operators who have spent the past two years “in sleep mode”.’
