PC Pilot: Hi Gary, thank you for taking the time out of your busy work schedule to speak to us. Can you begin by telling us a bit about yourself, where you live and what got you started in designing scenery for Flight Simulator?

Gary Summons: I am 53 and presently live in south-west Scotland; probably the quietest corner of the UK, but thankfully not too far from civilisation. I was born in the south of England and spent most of my life in Bournemouth. I left school with few qualifications, so I applied for a position in a sheet metalwork company, where I ended up programming their CNC machines; firstly using punched paper strips, then a simple CAD system. I stayed with the company until 2000, when I became a full-time FS developer.
