Ukraine-Russia War: Analysing the First Month

After more than a month of conflict, the toll of Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine has started to show on both sides. While the Ukrainian Armed Forces have and continue to hold their ground against what on paper should be a vastly superior force – in terms of numbers and technology – this has not been without its losses. However, the damage done to the invading Russian forces has been far greater than initially expected, leading to the conclusion that the Ukrainian military’s resolve was widely underestimated.
