
JOHANNESBURG-BASED Ultimate Heli has deployed two Bell 412EP helicopters to Juba, South Sudan, to provide humanitarian support to the International Red Cross.
The aircraft were deployed in late October and come as Ultimate Heli in September received another Bell 412EP to provide humanitarian support services in sub-Saharan Africa.
Ultimate Heli, part of the Ultimate Aviation group, has provided ad hoc humanitarian operations support in Southern Sudan for the past five years and in 2014 sent its Airbus Helicopters AS355N to Juba to assist humanitarian aid agencies.
Ultimate Aviation’s fixedwing aircraft have also been active there over the years, including evacuating civilians and transporting cargo in 2016.
Meanwhile, Ultimate Heli’s Bell 412s have also been flying of the SA Agulhas II research vessel belonging to the South African government, delivering equipment to Marion and Gough Islands earlier this year. Guy Martin
