Uncrewed acquisition: Demand surges for tactical UAVs

As militaries gain greater experience of the role that tactical uncrewed aerial vehicles can fulfil, the market for such platforms continues to develop and mature. Traditional suppliers in the US and Israel are being challenged for their share by emerging industrial players, which the use case for such platforms has been ably demonstrated during recent conflicts.

The military domain is full of acronyms that reflect platforms, concepts of operations and myriad other facets that dictate and regulate life among those that dwell in the space. The growth in recent decades of uncrewed systems and their integration into operations has given rise to even more – in particular, those attempting to define the future relationship between machines and their human operators.
