US air arms in Australia for Talisman Sabre

Eleven F-22As of the USAF’s 90th FS flew Talisman Sabre 2019 missions from RAAFB Amberley. Together with F-35Bs operated by the USMC’s VMFA-121 and a handful of RAAF F-35As, these represented the first fifth-generation fighter capability in the 14-year history of the exercise. THE MILITARIES of the US and Australia conducted the bilateral combined training exercise Talisman Sabre 2019 in July. Manoeuvres mainly took place in the Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA) in Queensland as well as other regions in the state and the Northern Territory.
