THE US Army is moving forward with two new-design rotorcraft from the Future Vertical Lift (FVL) programme and one new unmanned air system (UAS) capability, involving multiple types of unmanned air vehicles (UAV).

“However this shakes out, this is the future of rotorcraft we are talking about”, said Kevin Magnum, Lockheed Martin’s vice president for US Army programmes, at a presentation in Washington on October 4.
