US Army orders 24 more HH/UH-60Ms

Sikorsky has been awarded a US$30.96m contract by the US Army to deliver 24 additional HH/UH-60M Black Hawk utility helicopters to the service.

The contract – which was awarded on March 22 – will cover the production and delivery of nine multi-mission UH-60Ms, along with 15 examples of the HH-60M, which is the medical evacuation variant of the Black Hawk.

Production of the additional 24 utility helicopters will be undertaken at Sikorsky’s facility in Stratford, Connecticut, and contracting work has an estimated completion date of June 30, 2023. The US Army Contracting Command in Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is leading this contracting activity, which is being financed by fiscal year 2021 (FY21) US Army funding.
