US PRESIDENT Donald Trump signed a bill on February 15 preventing transfer of F-35A fighters to Turkey. The spending bill prohibits delivery of Lightning IIs onto Turkish territory until the US secretaries of state and defence provide an update on Ankara’s planned buy of S-400 surface-to-air missile (SAM) systems from Russia.
