Vast RCAF gallery on show as book launch beckons

An art exhibition has been launched as a special book celebrating the centenary of the RCAF is due for publication by CANAV books later this year

Author Larry Milberry has also sent in these images of the exhibition he has commissioned, displaying over 100 pieces of RCAF-related aviation art. The artworks in question have all been donated to the RCAF but are usually held at the RCAF headquarters in Winnipeg.

They have been released for public display in a stunning exhibition at the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Done by nine different Canadian artists, these paintings highlight RCAF aircraft in use between 1924 and 1984. It is the first time these paintings have been exhibited publicly. The exhibition will remain open until June 30.
