A Very British Flagship

In August, British Airways launched its new Airbus A350-1000, equipped with premium Club Suites. Airliner World’s Gordon Smith joined one of the first revenue services to put it to the test.

Just typical isn’t it? We Brits wait years for a new widebody Airbus and then two come along at once. With both British Airways and Virgin Atlantic launching their nextgeneration long-haul jets within a few weeks of each other, even the most casual of industry observers is likely to recognise the significance of the new arrivals.
