Veteran Hercules set for museum display

A Lockheed Hercules has been carefully reassembled for display in Spain

After a few years in open storage at the nearby Maestranza Aérea de Madrid, the oldest Spanish Air Force Lockheed C-130H was towed to the Museo del Aire at Cuatro Vientos on March 22.

The wing and vertical empennage of the aircraft had to be disassembled in order to carry out the transfer, so it will be some time before it can be put on display. For now it has been placed in an outdoor storage area. The venerable T.10-03/31-03 was withdrawn from service in December 2020, completing its last flight from Zaragoza to Cuatro Vientos.
