Video shows Ukrainian MiG-29s firing AGM-88 HARMs in combat

Following reports in early August that Russian air defence (AD) positions in Ukraine were being engaged by what appeared to be AGM-88 High-speed Anti-Radiation Missiles (HARMs), the US has officially confirmed that it recently transferred an undisclosed quantity of the weapon to the Ukrainian Air Force (UkrAF).

The Ukrainian air arm – which has been heavily engaged in conflict against invading Russian forces since February 24 – has since integrated the recently acquired AGM-88 HARMs onto its remaining Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29 Fulcrum fighters. This was confirmed on August 31, when the UkrAF published a video on its social media channels, showing a single-seat MiG-29 Fulcrum-C (serial ’71 White') assigned to the 114th Tactical Aviation Brigade (114th brTA) at Ivano-Frankivsk Air Base equipped with a pair of AGM-88 HARMs and – presumably the same aircraft – firing these missiles during a mission.
